Los Amigos Park

Aufbau provided construction management services for the development of Los Amigos Park – an approximately 3.4 acre park on a vacant parcel of land on Madrone Avenue. The park was funded by a $3.9 million Proposition 84 Grant, administered through the Grants and Local Services division of the State Department of Parks and Recreation.

The park provides a full-size basketball court, a skate spot for beginners, an outdoor exercise area, a restroom building, a trash enclosure and storage building, a trellis structure, two playground areas, water misters/ features, a pedestrian bridge, and other amenities. Reporting to City’s project manager, Aufbau was engaged in every aspect of the construction management activities. These activities included review of Contractor’s submittals and shop drawings, progress payments, change order requests, and construction schedule. In addition, Aufbau also managed construction of the street improvements along the park frontage, as well as the undergrounding of the overhead utilities.

Construction Management

The Community Services Department is thoroughly pleased and gratified with Aufbau’s construction management services for Los Amigos Park. The project went smooth – the working relationship between the City, Aufbau and the construction contractor was superb and exemplified a spirit of cooperation toward a common quality product. Countless hours beyond the call of duty were spent by Aufbau to make the project a success. The project was completed on schedule and within budget.
