The project involved the renovation of approximately 8,000 square feet of vacant space on the second floor of the Paul A. Biane Library, along with targeted modifications on the first floor, to support the City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Second Story and Beyond (SSAB) initiative. This interactive space was designed to feature customized fixtures, games, equipment, and educational elements.

Aufbau Corporation provided comprehensive on-site construction management services for the project, which included demolition of existing structures, construction of new walls and ceilings, installation of structural supports for climbing features, fireproofing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing modifications, sound attenuation installations, and a full range of interior finish work. Key scope items also included upgrades to fire safety systems, HVAC, lighting, flooring, and communication infrastructure, ensuring successful delivery of this high-functioning and innovative public space.
